Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification
The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, or CMMC, establishes a set of controls for cybersecurity implementation across the government and defense industrial base (DIB). The CMMC framework includes a comprehensive and scalable certification component to validate the implementation of processes and practices associated with attaining a cybersecurity maturity level. CMMC is intended to provide the Department of Defense with increased assurance that a DIB company can adequately protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), accounting for information flow down to subcontractors in a multi-tier supply chain.

Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority
The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) launched the SAMA Cyber Security Framework to help organizations secure critical information assets and online services. The move is part of the central bank’s efforts to improve the sound practices of financial institutions and ensure compliance with industry best practices. The goal of establishing the Cyber Security Framework is to improve cyber resilience through the implementation of best practices. The SAMA Cyber Security Framework is a comprehensive framework that incorporates the best practices of numerous government frameworks and industry standards, such as NIST, PCI DSS, ISO 27001/27002, and Basel II. Implementing the Security Framework assists organizations in achieving a minimum level of security in order to manage and withstand the ever-increasing Cyber Security Threats.
Applicability
The Compliance Standard and Framework apply to all SAMA-regulated financial institutions, also known as Member Organizations. This includes all Saudi Arabian banks, insurance companies, and finance companies.
